PARKING

All vehicles parked on LCHS property will be registered in the Assistant Principals’ Office. Students driving to school must complete a “Parking Registration Card” and receive a tag to be displayed in the front windshield. The cost of a student parking tag is $25.00. The tag must be displayed in the front windshield. Cars parked in the parking lot without tags may be towed at the owners’ expense.

The first four spaces of the senior lot will be reserved specifically for Student Body President and Vice-President and Senior Class President and Vice-President.


PARKING RULES

  1. Students are not permitted to park in any areas reserved for faculty/staff and senior class officers. Students are permitted to park in areas that are marked as parking spaces.
  2. A 10-mile-per-hour speed limit is to be observed on school property.
  3. Unless they are leaving for the day, students are not to go to their parked cars without permission. Violators will be considered truant.
  4. Students who drive a vehicle to school will be required to park on school property.

Students who have permission to leave early are not to loiter or cruise the parking lot. They are to leave school property immediately. Students driving in a careless, reckless, or hazardous manner on school property may have their parking and/or driving privileges suspended or revoked. The administration reserves the right to search any vehicle parked on school property. The driver of the vehicle (and police when appropriate) will be notified of the search as soon as possible.




CONSEQUENCES FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS MAY INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING BASED ON A CASE – BY – CASE BASIS:

  • The vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Parking privileges may be suspended at any time.
  • Students violating this rule will be given a level II consequence.
