The 2025 campaign may be over, but the need for a permanent home for your Lake County history is still great.

The County of Lake has provided for us the use of a small corner office, which unfortunately can not house our entire collection. We have the green light to raise funds for a new home for our genealogy library. Our ideal spot would be in the heart of downtown Lakeport in a building of approximately 2000 sf. or larger.
With that much space we would be able to showcase our various Lake County collections: Family Histories, Marriage Records, Schools, Cemeteries and Death Records.
We would be able to properly house the Newspapers rescued from when the Lake County Record-Bee had to downsize. We would be able to set up a digitizing space!
Our potential new library would be conveniently located near:
The courthouse
Courthouse Museum
County Library
City Hall
Downtown parks and eateries
This central location is ideal for attracting residents and visitors alike to explore our services and collections.
What we need most is funding. In addition to our major capital campaign we are also looking at grant opportunities to create a digitizing lab.

Establish an endowment fund to cover the ongoing expenses
