Junior and Senior Fall Sports Spotlight
by Bella Nare and Jill Gregory
Senior Kayli Mueller has pretty much been playing soccer all of her life! For the last 13 years, she has been an active participant in the sport.. Currently, she plays for both LHS and Cincinnati West, and this year has been an amazing year for her LHS team!
After school, Kayli plans on joining the U.S. Navy and is excited to eventually pursue a career in the medical field. Her advice for student athletes is to not procrastinate.
We hope you have a great rest of your senior year, Kayli!!
Junior Keaten McGrath is no stranger to playing football! He's been playing for 10 years, and he currently plays wide receiver for LHS!
His most memorable time playing football is when he joined his teammates at the state finals as a freshman!
His advice for those wanting to play sports is to remember that being a student comes before being an athlete, so you have to work hard to be able to do both!

Seniors Nathan Parker and Anastasia Robbins represented LHS at the annual Versailles Pumpkin show Wed. Sept. 25. When asked about the experience, Anastasia explained, "It was a unique experience, and it was interesting to take part in a tradition that the town of Versailles really embraces." Even though Anastasia was not crowned queen, she did enjoy the experience and represented LHS well in a field of competitive students!
Nathan mentioned that he relied on various techniques he learned in Ms. Sandlin's speech class! Ms. Sandlin said of Nathan, "He has always been a great speaker, and in my class, his quick thinking and sincere tone always came through. I was not surprised he was crowned King! I am so proud of both students."
Way to go, Anastasia and Nathan!
