It seems like most of the local schools have a fall break of some kind. So, when did this come to be, and how did it happen?  Fall break was actually created as early as the 1890s due to community work seasons where students had to work on the farms for fall and harvest seasons. Parents needed them at home--there was no real vacation since students had to swtich from schoolwork to farmwork!

If you're not using fall break to work on the farm or harvest, then use it to recharge for the next 9 weeks! Have a great fall break, regardless of what you do!  

Coach Knigga is an all star!!! With last Friday's game, Coach Knigga has now become the winningest coach in LHS history. Coach K's  record now stands at 125-41!
