The classroom's structure and schedule are designed to cater to individual student needs and encourage self-regulation. Monthly outings and ongoing collaboration with community organizations provide students with an enriched learning experience, especially for those who have struggled academically or behaviorally.

- Having one whole year to complete our various classes (English IV, History IV, Math IV, Options) allows us to be flexible with exam dates. This lowers anxiety and boosts academic success as exams are written only when students and teachers feel they are ready.
- Monthly field trips increase student engagement and encourage students to learn from beyond the four walls of the classroom. Outings make curriculum more relevant as the material is presented in a very real life context.

- Frequent breaks are structured into our Daily Schedule. These breaks allow us to cater to the diverse needs of each student and encourage students to self-regulate.
- Incorporating breaks into the framework of the day helps decrease distraction while increasing the quality of time spent on learning.

- Our goal is to provide remediation that is both accessible and tailored to our students' learning styles.
- Individual and small group tutoring is offered for free, during school hours and designed so that students who seek extra help will not fall behind on classwork.
- Subsidized integration aids, literacy unlimited tutors and in-house SOS tutors help make this possible.
