We’re pleased to announce that The Basics of Supervision @ Berkeley Lab Workshop will resume in November. This workshop is designed for supervisors across all areas and divisions and is offered on a quarterly basis.

Participants need to attend only one session, with the option to join onsite or virtually. However, attending onsite is highly recommended to foster connection and community with colleagues across the Lab.

The Basics of Supervision @ Berkeley Lab Workshop is intended for supervisors in any area or division. The workshop is offered on a quarterly basis and participants must attend only one workshop. They have the option to attend onsite or virtually, but the recommendation is to attend on site to build connection and community with colleagues. 

Participants will learn the fundamentals about being an effective manager/supervisor at Berkeley Lab and will receive a general overview of the policies, processes, and resources available to managers. 

This workshop can serve as part of the onboarding for a new manager or it can serve as a refresher course for current managers who have been in their management position for longer than 2 years, since policies and resources are updated frequently. 

Workshop Format: Offered onsite at the Lab and virtually on Zoom

Audience: All supervisors

Facilitators: Human Resources Principal and Senior HR Division Partners, Employee Labor Relations, and Talent Development Professionals
