Work-Based Learning at Lawrence High School supports the development of a personalized post-graduation plan for success by connecting students, faculty, employers, and workforce partners through meaningful career development experiences.
Our vision is for all students to develop practical skills, access real-world experiences, gain insight to make informed college and career decisions and prepare for their critical next steps.

Meet the WBL Manager!
Roberto Duran
Hello everyone! My name is Roberto Duran and I am the Work-Based Learning Manager at Lawrence High School. I was born and raised in New York City and moved to Lawrence at the age of 16. I am a graduate of LHS (Class of 2008) and have since earned my Masters of Business Administration Degree (MBA) from Southern New Hampshire University.
Prior to working as the Work-Based Learning Manager at LHS, I was a Financial Aid Counselor at Northern Essex Community College, where I worked with many first-generation college students. I have always had a passion for helping the youth, especially in my own community, and my goal now is to make sure I help put the students at LHS in the best position for continued success.
