Our Mission

Students will graduate from the San Pedro Gifted STEAM Magnet as collaborative leaders, prepared to tackle the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Our program features an inventive curriculum that is relevant to the students and produces creative, independent thinkers who are prepared to make logical evidence based decisions. Students will take a robust course load that readies them to apply and succeed at the nation’s top colleges and universities, and obtain access to the globally competitive careers of the next century. Our program affords gifted students an opportunity to take a schedule of rigorous classes, in a cooperative, hands-on environment. Each magnet course includes interdisciplinary, thematic learning, supported by appropriate technology.
