Mrs. Arciaga is the Gifted STEAM Magnet Honors Geometry and AP Statistics teacher. She has been teaching high school Mathematics for 23 years, providing meaningful and relevant instruction through varied learning opportunities to help students become college and career ready. Mrs. Arciaga works with all students to create a safe support space for self-care and success. Mrs.Arciaga spends her free time with her husband and two daughters traveling to US national parks or visiting their families in the Philippines.

Ms. Arista is the STEAM Gifted Magnet Living Earth Teacher. Ms. Arista’s early love for science sparked from trips to the aquarium and late night star gazing. Through the cultivation of student interests, her aim is to highlight diverse voices and perspectives in the field of science, motivating students to see themselves as change-makers in the real world!

Ms. Carcamo is the STEAM Physical Education Teacher. She is a third generation alumni of San Pedro High School and loves to speak on her experiences with her students. She prides herself on teaching personal & social responsibility through physical education and focusing on the social emotional aspect of physical education, while teaching fitness for life.
In her spare time, she enjoys spin class, pickleball, hanging with her huge Croatian family, and eating at new restaurants.

Rhonielle Ademolu a STEAM Gifted Magnet English teacher with 10 years of experience in integrating STEAM into the English curriculum. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and designing immersive, real-world applicable activities, assignments and projects to prepare students for college and beyond!!!

Ms. Napolitano is the AP STEAM Magnet Chemistry teacher. She grew up in both LA and San Diego. Prior to teaching, she worked in research developing medical devices to diagnose cancer as well as developing new coconut water drinks. Furthermore she helped develop a nanotechnology program for high school.

As a dedicated educator with 13 years of experience I have had the privilege of teaching a variety of subjects, including AP physics, H-Physics, H-Chemistry, Computer science with a focus on Java and the latest technologies in AI and quantum computing) and Health. Throughout my teaching career, I have always been enthusiastic about fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment. I am deeply passionate about tapping into the creativity of all students, believing that every learner has the potential to excel when given the right tools and encouragement. My goal is to inspire students not only to master academic content but also to develop critical thinking skills and a lifelong love for learning. Additionally, I am a strong advocate for equality, equity and inclusion in education. I believe in creating a classroom where every student feels valued and supported, ensuring that all learners, regardless of their background or abilities have the opportunity to thrive. By fostering and inclusive environment, I aim to meet the diverse needs of all my students and help them reach their fullest potential.

Mr. Stout teaches Algebra 1 Honors, Honors Advanced Math, and Precalculus Honors. As the last remaining founding member of San Pedro’s STEAM Gifted Magnet, he is incredibly proud of what this faculty and the students we serve have been able to build together.
In his spare time, Mr. Stout enjoys reading novels, spending time with his wife and infant son, and attempting to get a reasonable amount of rest.

Ms. Suzuki Daniels currently teaches Honors 10th grade English and AP Language for the STEAM Magnet. She is passionate about helping students develop literacy and critical thinking skills both within and outside of the classroom. When not teaching, she loves reading, camping, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Valenza is the AP Seminar, AP Research, AP Literature & Composition, and Honors American Literature teacher for the STEAM Magnet. Although this is her 3rd year at SPHS, she has been teaching in San Pedro since 2016. Born and raised here, teaching runs in her blood and she is passionate about sharing her love of literature and critical thinking with her students. When not in the classroom, Mrs. Valenza enjoys reading, watching WWE, spending time with her family, and being a mama.
