This project is a S.T.E.A.M., Linked Learning, cross-curricular activity completed across Ms. Konopliv's Math Class, Mx. Joyce's History class, and with the assistance of Mr. Mauricio, our P.E. educator.
Students learned about Ball Game, a centuries old sport played by Aztec and Mesoamerican people. Students then learned how sports analysts use Math to make correlations and predictions. After these various History and Math activities, students had the opportunity to play a modified version of the sport out on the field. These videos are students' culminating presentations on this activity that tied sports, Math, and History into one very engaging lesson.
