In A.P. Research students conduct college level research. They have to decide upon the appropriate design method. The link in italics on the left below provides a description and explanation of the different research design methods. Even if you don't assign a paper that requires students to select and adhere to a research design, you might ask students to identify the design used by another researcher. This would be a smaller task that would help build students' capacity in understanding and performing research.
