Absences/Make Up Work
My policy for providing absent work is as follows:
I will collect work and leave it on the student desk with a list of instructions. Students will get the work when they return to school.
You will have the same number of school days to make up the work as when you were absent.
Make up tests are only given for excused absences (such as illness, doctor/dentist appointment with an excuse given from your provider's office, or absences that have been approved by the school principal.)
I will NOT send work and materials to the office or to a sibling’s classroom. However, if a parent or sibling would like to come to the classroom IMMEDIATELY after school to pick up the work, books, and other materials while I am still here, that is fine.
If you are leaving school early, the same rule as above will apply.
I will not ask for make-up work. Students need to take responsibility and turn it in.
