How I Calculate Accelerate Reader Scores
I look at the points you earn each month in AR. I count the points toward your Reading Comprehension GRADE.
I give you a score out of 100%.
I will send home a monthly report that shows the quizzes you took and the points you earned.
IF YOU EARN 10 POINTS FOR THE MONTH
If you earn 10 or more points, I give you 100%.
IF YOU DO NOT EARN 10 POINTS FOR THE MONTH
If you earn less than 10 points, I take percentage points away.
Example:
9 to 9.9 points = 90%
8 to 8.9 points = 80%
7 to 7.9 points = 70%
6 to 6.9 points = 60%
5 to 5.9 points = 50%
4 to 4.9 points = 40%
3 to 3.9 points = 30%
2 to 2.9 points = 20%
1 to 1.9 point = 10%
0.9 points = 9%
0.8 points = 8%
0.7 points = 7%
0.6 points = 6%
0.5 points = 5%
0.4 points = 4%
0.3 points = 3%
0.2 points = 2%
0.1 points = 1%
0 points = 0%
