Targeted Outcomes

The HEET initiative aims to make targeted investments of fiscal, human, external resources and partnerships within a Community of Schools model with the following goals:

  • Stabilizing the teaching and administrative faculty for increased continuity and consistency of instructional objectives and learning outcomes for our highest needs populations served

  • Providing essential out of classroom supports such as librarians, nurses, counselors, instructional coaches, coordinators, the arts, specialized pupil services, mental health support, and wellness.

  • Provide a safe and welcoming learning environment that promotes robust parent, family and stakeholders' voice, feedback, engagement and pride in the community.

  • Increased student achievement rates for African American students, particularly (and all other student groups) in the following areas:

      • Graduation, College and Career Readiness

      • Grade C or Better in College Prep and High School Prerequisite Courses

      • Daily School In-Seat Attendance

      • Proficiency in Summative Assessments and Completed Courses

        • ELA, MATH, & All Academic Content Areas

      • At or Above Benchmark in Early Literacy & Numeracy

      • Access to Honors and Advanced Placement Courses

      • Gifted & Talented Education (GATE) Identification

      • Reduction in Special Education Referrals, School Suspensions, Expulsions, and Chronic Absenteeism
