Drama and Vocal Ensemble Class
In this integrated drama and vocal class, students develop essential stage presence through focused work in vocal projection, articulation, and expressive movement. Instruction emphasizes both solo and ensemble singing, allowing students to explore vocal techniques that strengthen confidence, musicality, and emotional expression.
Students gain valuable real-world performance experience through community appearances at venues such as Queens Borough Hall, Roy Wilkins Park, and St. Albans Congregational Church, among others. Through consistent performance opportunities, students cultivate the confidence, discipline, collaboration skills, and creativity required to perform successfully before live audiences.
Throughout the year, LJMS presents a robust series of trainings, practice sessions, master classes, and recitals designed to provide students with meaningful, high-quality performance opportunities. These experiences support artistic growth, build discipline, and allow students to apply their skills in real-world settings.
Our purpose is to serve students within their own communities, offering a distinctive approach to music education that fosters personal development, confidence, and leadership. The growth students experience through LJMS extends beyond the classroom—creating positive, visible change that resonates throughout their families, schools, and neighborhoods.
