What is Student Portal?
Bromcom’s Student Portal is an online web portal that brings together a student’s information that can be accessed on any web-enabled device.
The Student Portal enables real-time communication between students and teachers and increases engagement with the school.
Teachers use Student Portal to set Homework tasks. Using the Student Portal, students have easy access to these learning resources and general school information, anytime and anywhere.
Students are responsible for handling library books/resources with care. Please keep books away from food, liquids and pets.
Any book/resource that is damaged or lost should be reported to Miss Medcalf immediately in order for it to be repaired. If the damage caused cannot be easily corrected, parents/carers will be required to pay for or to provide a replacement copy of the book.
All books issued from Leigh Academy Blackheath library must be returned directly to the library and not to a member of staff.
If you leave Leigh Academy Blackheath, please return all books before leaving.
All books are loaned for a period of 2 weeks. The due date of each book will always be stamped on the inside cover of the book. If students have not finished their book during this time, they may be able to renew the book. If a student has an overdue book, they will not be able to borrow another book until the overdue book is renewed or returned.
We will issue two reminders to return an overdue book. If said book is still not returned, an email will be sent home with details of how to replace/pay for the book.
The library is a popular, busy working area within the school, but it is primarily used for study, research and homework. All students must follow these rules:
Students should conduct themselves in an appropriate manner whilst in the library and show respect towards staff, and other students at all times.
Noise should be kept to minimum, so as not to disturb other library users who are studying or working.
No food or drink is allowed in the library.
Students must treat the books with respect and keep the shelves tidy. Please remember, they have been provided for your pleasure and to assist your education!
Return the books on time.
Enjoy the library, use it sensibly and responsibly.
The computers should only be used for homework or private study. Playing computer games is not allowed!
