The mandatory and optional content in the BTEC Sport course provides a balance of breadth and depth, while retaining a degree of choice for individual learners to study content relevant to their own interests and progression choices. Also, the content may be applied during delivery in a way that is relevant to local employment needs. Some units to be included are: Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-Being, Anatomy and Physiology, Practical Sports Performance, Professional Development in the Sports Industry, Sports Coaching and Organising Sports Events.
