Welcome to Central Kent Careers - a united approach to securing our students outstanding careers education. Through our collaboration we ensure we inform our students about the world of work as well as the skills, attributes and mindset they need to thrive in modern British society.
Careers education is vitally important for secondary school students as it equips them with the knowledge, skills, and understanding necessary to make informed decisions about their future pathways. In an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world, effective careers education helps students to navigate the vast array of options available to them, from higher education and apprenticeships to direct employment.
By exploring different industries, job roles, and required qualifications, students can begin to identify their strengths, interests, and aspirations, aligning these with potential career paths. This process fosters a sense of purpose and motivation, making their academic studies more relevant and engaging. It also plays a crucial role in developing essential soft skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability, all highly valued in the modern workforce.
Each of our schools has a designated member of the Senior Leadership Team that oversees the Careers Programme.
