About me

Hi!

My name is Suzuko Brown and this is my 7th year teaching math at LAMS. I love working with 7th graders! They bring me so much joy. I grew up mostly in Los Alamos, and I went to our middle school and our high school. I have two amazing daughters, Sam (17yo) and Jamie (13yo). We have 6 animals at home, 3 cats, 1 bird, and 2 dogs! It is the jungle you are imagining! I love teaching, traveling, reading, watching tv/movies, and spending time with my girls!

Long before I was a teacher, I spent four years in the Marine Corps! I played flute in the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing band and was stationed in Miramar, San Diego. I made life-long friends during my time there. I was lucky to travel during peace times to many countries including Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, the Azores, British Columbia Canada, Oman and Spain.

In the summer of 2019, I was able to take a trip with my girls to France, England, and Iceland. I put a couple pictures below.
