What it's All About
Every month, our student leadership team holds an assembly, and for March, GirlsBuild hosted in honor of Women's History Month. We had a range of activities packed, including distributing mini-zines to all the students, showcasing our school's female dance team VIVIED, creating educational trivia games, and distributing awards to multiple female teachers and students from each grade level, in honor of their positive contributions to the school community.

ZINE SPEECH
Every issue as we distribute zines, we noticed students would disrespect them, throwing them in the ground, trashing them, etc. We wanted to address this issue and highlight the significance and hard work that goes into the zine in an effort to have students treat the zines more respectfully.
WOMEN' S HISTORY QUIZ
As one of our fun activities, we quizzed students on major women's history events in the pass.

HONORING STAFF
The award ceremony gave students and teachers a bouquet of flowers in order to show our appreciation for their efforts at our school. Teachers/staff who were honored this year included Ms. Julie, Norma, Ms. Lausche, and more!
Ms. Julie is the Cooking teacher, and she is one of the kindest and most giving teachers to her students, always sharing her passion for cooking with such warmth.
Norma is one of our maintenance staff. She does so much to keep our school clean, and we truly couldn't maintain such a sanitized and spotless environment without her dedication.
Ms. Lausche is one of our vice principals, and she has worked tirelessly to keep this school up and running. She always shows up with the best attitude and energy towards students, always spreading her positivity.
