The Girls Build Summit 23-24 was certainly an exciting event for all of our members because we got to hear from amazing guest speakers, watch the Barbie Movie, as well as hand out mini-zines to other Girls Build chapters!

Firstly, we got to hear from LA Promise Fund's CEO Veronica Melvin, LA city councilmember Nithya Raman, the head of Prime Video Global Operations at Amazon,  Molly Park, and lastly the Mayor of L.A., Karen Bass! We even had one of our members talk to Mayor Bass about our zines and the impact of them at school. We also distributed the mini-zines to all the other girls in other L.A. chapters and got to see their curiosity with all the work we had done.  

Seeing how far our club has come with the club, from handing the zines out to students at our school, to having Mayor Bass read one is such a gratifying feeling that makes us feel that our hard work has really been paying off. The Summit was an amazing experience for our members, and we are so excited for what next year's summit has in store for us!
