There are two main reasons we ask pupils to wear full school uniform. Firstly, and most importantly, it is for overall levels of safety. It is vital, being one of the largest schools in Scotland, that we are able to identify any intruders – having pupils in uniform allows us to do this quickly.
Secondly, school is your place of work and wearing school uniform creates the right climate and mindset required for learning. We know, from experience, that uniform impacts on this and we want to instil a sense of pride, belonging and purpose with everyone being treated as equals.
The tie and blazer, in particular, help you to stand out as being part of the Larbert High School Community – and it is a key part of our uniform. It is our expectation that all pupils will have a blazer in August.
The Year Team will ensure that any barriers to wearing uniform are sorted out and you will be given the option to either borrow uniform from Medical or, where appropriate, will be given the uniform you require from LHS SETUP.
