The Project Vault

Explore

Sometimes artists don't know what to create. Or...they think they're not good enough to create something so they just stay afraid and don't do anything. We've all been there frozen and brain stumped. So, to help you along, this is the Explore page. We'll start out by doing some required exploring and move on after a few weeks in class.  The more you practice and flex your creative muscles, the easier you'll start picking up on original ideas.

The ultimate goal is to create original work - not copies of something you've already seen done - for projects in this class. You're required to complete 4 projects this semester and explore and grow as an artist.

So browse through the links and let's get started. If all else fails, there's a list of prompts at the bottom of each week.

Unit 1: Objects & Nature EXPLORE

  • Complete tutorials - work entire hour each class day. Most will need to work on more than one.

  • Photograph practice work & post on SeeSaw Friday.

Unit 2: Landscapes & Architecture EXPLORE

  • Complete tutorials - work entire hour each class day.  Should/will take more time/effort than last week.

  • Photograph practice work & post on SeeSaw Friday.

Unit 3: Portraits & Figure EXPLORE
