Draw a Portrait

Description:

Follow along with the following videos to learn how to draw facial features and also to learn about facial proportions. Then, create your own original portrait drawing by incorporating the skills you’ve learned. 

Materials Needed:

quality drawing paper, pencil or charcoal, eraser

Exploring Oil Pastels ​

​You will watch a video to learn how to blend with oil pastels. You will learn how to use oil pastels to create an image of an eye.

Then you will create your own original work of art using oil pastels.

Oil pastels, illustration board paper, blending stump, scratchy tool

Trace like an Artist on Procreate (ipad)

​Description:

​You will complete a tutorial online to learn how to trace a photo of a face using the ipad and Apple pencil on Procreate. 

Materials Needed:

Ipad, Apple Pencil, Clear Photo of a Face for reference.

Draw a Celebrity Caricature

​Description:

​You will complete a tutorial online to learn how to create a caricature of Lebron James. Then you will use the techniques you learned to create your own original caricature of the celebrity of your choosing.

Materials Needed:

Quality drawing paper, black marker or sharpie, grey marker, reference image of celebrity
