This week, we are delighted to share the achievements of Langley Legend Alba, in Fortune Class. Alba has recently helped to raise funds for a dog rescue centre near Ashford called 'Fetcher Dog'. This charity rescues street dogs and injured dogs from Bosnia who may be strays or in kill shelters, and transports them to the UK to find loving, forever homes. Alba's family adopted their dog Marty from Fetcher Dog in April 2022. Alba went with her family to collect Marty and said she wanted to be able to help Marty’s friends at Fetcher Dog find a permanent home.

Recently, Alba helped to organise for Fetcher Dog to bring a couple of their rescue dogs to the Ashford United v Hythe Town (her Dad’s team) football match on Saturday 18th March. Alba collected money in a bucket from football fans and also helped to sell Fetcher Dog calendars. Alba carried on selling calendars to people long after the dogs had gone home, raising £260 in total!
