Computing in the Early Years 

Within the Early Years we support children in using technology in a purposeful way to develop their understanding of an inquiry. For example; researching an area or practising their subitising skills during their Very Important Play Time (VIP Time). 

On the right are the areas of learning that we develop with the children from the EYFS Framework, through the nursery to the end of Reception. 

When supporting children with their understanding of Computing, it is important that the children develop an understanding of a healthy amount of screen time. Please see some additional links to helping your child to keep safe using technology as well as information on healthy screen time.
