Principal's Message:

We are now fast approaching the end of the school year. There have been lots of fantastic trips and events taking place and yet more to come. This week, Nursery, Reception and KS2 all took part in their annual sports day. It was so wonderful to see so many parents attend the event to support their children. Huge thanks goes to Mr Humphrey for organising these great events and thanks to our year 5 play leaders who provided the warmest of welcomes and support at our Nursery and Reception Sports Day.

Year 6 ran their stalls for their Young Enterprise project on Tuesday. There was a real buzz on the day and they demonstrated incredible intuition and maturity when supporting the younger pupils in making their choices and paying them. I, myself, sampled the lemonade and it was delicious!

You will notice a new safeguarding section on our newsletter as part of our commitment to keeping all of our community informed about how we can continue to work together in keeping our children safe.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the Summer Fair on Saturday. The weather looks amazing which is great news!

Office Reminders:

If your child requires GP-prescribed medication during the school day, please bring this to the Academy Office in its original container and packaging and complete the corresponding form so that it can be administered by staff as needed. Medication should not be sent into school via your child's class teacher and must never be put into your child's bag.

No other medicines should be sent into the Academy - this includes throat sweets. We are unable to administer any medication that has not been prescribed by your child's GP. You are, however, welcome to pop up to the Academy at any time to administer non-prescribed medication and so this is not a reason to keep your child at home.

Contacting the class teachers:

If you have concerns that you would like to raise with the academy, please do so via the school office email address on contactus@langleyparkprimaryacademy.org.uk and it will be directed to the relevant members of staff.

Minecraft is a beloved classic of modern gaming. First released in 2011, this open-ended ‘sandbox’ game of building and exploration still has over 140 million players who happily return to play it at least once every month. Minecraft has also been utilised for much more than just entertainment: it’s sometimes used in schools to teach children coding, and it's also employed as a tool for computer-aided design, which is another valuable skill. Encouraging creativity and problem solving, Minecraft has plenty to offer gamers of all ages, and it's available on almost all video game platforms.
