We are pleased to be able to showcase the achievements of two Langley Legends this week, as follows:
Callie, in Empire Class, won gold for Ninjas Kihon in a karate competition last weekend.
Well done Callie, your family and everyone here at Leigh Academy Langley Park are extremely proud of your achievements and we look forward to hearing more about your karate success!
Anna, in Kanzi Class, competed in the Winter Qualifier last weekend, in a total of 8 separate swimming events. She won 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. Anna also swam 6 new personal best times and qualified for the Kent County Championship in all 8 events.
Anna is currently the fastest 50m backstroke swimmer in Kent for her age group, as well as the 14th fastest backstroke swimmer in England for her age group. Anna spent the recent October half term in Hungary, participating in a swimming training camp and an international competition, in which 53 teams from 7 countries across the world competed. Anna's club, Maidstone Swimming Club, was the only club from the UK to participate and Anna reached the final in 3 events.
The above are incredible achievements and Anna has featured as a Langley Legend on a number of occasions for her swimming accomplishments. Well done, all staff at the academy continue to be extremely proud of you!
