This month, we will be taking part in the Great Big School Clean as part of Keep Britain Tidy's annual campaign. It starts on Friday 21st March and ends on 6th April (although we will finish on Friday 4th) and the idea is for the whole school community to be extra vigilant at picking up litter on our school site. We have registered with the organisation so we will be able to be part of the #LoveWhereYouLive data collection too.
We hope that you will be inspired by our efforts and encourage your family to take part in a local community litter pick, becoming #LitterHeroes. Keep safe and make sure there is a responsible adult as part of your group. You can read more Health and Safety advice using this link: Health and Safety Advice .
Try reducing your carbon footprint by making these simple changes to your daily habits.
Turn off all electronics, that are not being used, at the plug and switch lights off as soon as you leave the room.
As the days get longer and warmer, hang washing out to dry rather than using your tumble dryer.
Turn down the temperature of your shower by a degree or two - a cooler shower is good for your circulation as well as helping you feel invigorated! It could also help lower your utility bills.
