Big Spring Clean
Our whole school 'Big Spring Clean' was a huge success! We are seeing much cleaner areas so it is much safer for us to play. We couldn't believe how much rubbish there was and we know that some of it was just blown into our school too. Everyone enjoyed this activity so much that Eco-council have suggested that we continue to litter pick and have each class be the monitors for that week. We will update you on the progress. Eco-council also raised that there were certain areas in our school that seemed to have the largest build-up of rubbish, so we will focus on tackling these areas as a priority moving forward. Members of our community can also help keep our school clean and tidy in the front and back of our site by using the bins provided, especially when the ice cream van is around.
Air Quality Testing
We are going to become Clean Air Champions! In association with Asthma and Lung UK (A+LUK), we have been provided with clean air monitors. We will be placing them at 4 different places across the site for 4 weeks. These monitors will then be sent off to A+LUK for analysis. Help us keep cleaner air around our school by walking to school instead of driving, particularly if your car runs on petrol or diesel. It much easier to walk in the warm dry weather and it also helps to improve your physical and mental wellbeing.
