What is a grade scale?

When you reach middle school (and for the rest of your academic career) you will recieve a grade of A, B, C, D, or F {no one knows what happened to E...}. Lets look below at what this looks like:

Here is a look at the general Grade Scale without pluses (+) or minuses (-). The numbers at the side are based on your precentage of correct answers.

For example:
You're taking a math test with 10 questions on it. Each question is worth one point. Which means you could get a total of ten points. Or 10 out of 10 ( 10/10) correct! Which would give you an A+ on the test. However, when you get your test back you find out you missed 2 of the ten questions. Meaning you got 8 out of 10 (8/10) correct. To figure out your percentage, you do some quick math. 8 divided by 10 is what? When you get the answer, multiple it by 100 to find the percentage. What grade did you get on the math test?
