Mixed Media

My artwork is called “The Process”. My art is full of motion, and it is blended. It is in action. I used a lot of different shades of color; blue, red, and grey. I also used a lot of Value and Texture. For my art tool, I used colored pencils and paint for the background. I would make different layers for different colors, like on the ripples and texture for the jersey. To show the ball in motion, I got a paper roll and rubbed it on the colored spots to make it blended. Shading was also a big part. What inspired me was Basketball. I love Basketball and I wanted a picture of my favorite player, Joel Embiid. In the art, it expresses hope. Hope of accomplishing something that you are not as confident in yourself doing. I think overall I have reached my goal; Making things look moving, and 3D. The outcome is better than I ever imagined. I used techniques that I never really have used, and turned out good. This will help me in the future to know what tools to use for a certain kind of art.
