I decided to draw Malala Yousefzai because she is such a big inspiration to me. She helped to give women and girls a better education. Malala helped the world for the better and risked her life. She also proved that any race, religion or gender can help the world change. She was a Islamic woman which is amazing, but unfortunately people did not really accept them. Drawing with pencils and shading is honestly quite fascinating to me. The possibilities are endless and you can be creative and not worry about what anyone else thinks. I really worked hard on my artwork and I hope that it shows. Personally I have never done a portrait before, but it was very fun to do. I'm very proud of my artwork. I hope that I can be like her and make a change to this world of hatred. Hopefully after seeing this artwork, it will inspire you and let you know that you can do anything and everything.
This drawing is titled “Enlightening of the Fruit”, because it puts an emphasis on light and shadows. The goal of this was to create a still art that expressed how many shades could be achieved with the medium of pencil drawing. It was interesting to see how the “colors” on the bowl of fruit could blend together to suggest a 3D shape. The final piece was not what I anticipated, and it was a learning experience to see how to create a realistic drawing with pencil.
This piece represents what I feel when I'm fishing. The universe around the fisherman represents calmness and peace. And the fisherman represents me in my own space when I go fishing and enjoying the peace and calmness.
For my art project I chose to draw a shoe and titled it The G.O.A.T. I chose to draw this shoe because it is made by the best NBA player of all time brand / Michael Jordan. Also I just like shoes, they are so nice and complete any outfit. I drew it in pencil so I can get more detail and can shade stuff in. I like to draw and think that it’s fun to do, so I want to be good at it. And the only way to do that is to practice. The reason I like art is because of the outcome. It is just so nice to see your work finally pay off. And I am very proud of my work especially for it being my first time drawing a shoe. It also shows me that with hard work and practice, it can be easy and fun.
I really didn't have an idea for this drawing. I just started with a bed and then I got the idea to make it “the process of drawing” so, I just left it as a sketch. There isn't really much to it except for the sketch, which is like the 2nd stage of art I guess. There’s nothing I can talk about other than me explaining the sketch.
