My drawing is of a girl, I decided to participate in the memory project. Which means my drawing will go to the girl I drew and hopefully she will love it. The media I used was pencil and stub. I used blending technique and had a long process of creating this drawing. I wanted to do a traditional drawing because I wanted to challenge myself as an artist and try to do something I haven't done before. As mentioned before I am participating in the memory project so this drawing is going towards a good cause. I wanted to make her look happy because I wanted her to look just as cute in her drawing as she did in her real photo. My goal as an artist is to bring joy and curiosity to people. I hope my drawing brings a smile to her face and makes her day. Creating this drawing I learned I need to be patient with myself and realize I don't have to be perfect.
Both my art works are part f the figure drawing and urban sketch drawing. My figure drawing is of a ballerina and my urban sketch is of a temple I saw in japan. I used pencil for both my drawings. I wanted to be more simple with these drawings so I tried not to spend a lot of time on them. I wanted to do a ballerina because I really admire what they do and respect that they put so many hours of work into their dance. I didnt really have any goals I just wanted to draw and see how it turned out. I like both of them a lot but my favorite is definetly the temple. Getting to relieve the experience of seeing the gold temple the first time was a lot of fun.
