Lancaster-EASTSIDE Teacher Induction Program  

Welcome to the Induction Program for Lancaster and  Eastside School Districts.

The Lancaster-Eastside Teacher Induction program is designed to assist and support candidates as responsible members of the teaching profession, which will lead to a Multiple/Single Subject/Education Specialist Clear Credential recommendation. The program is designed around the CSTP and Induction Standards to support new teacher growth and student achievement.

The program design provides the opportunity to advance the skills and knowledge of new teachers in relation to:

• The California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP)

• State-adopted Common Core State Standards

• State-adopted Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)

• The revised English Language Development Standards

• Standards of Quality and Effectiveness for Professional Induction Programs

• Newly-acquired knowledge from Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)

Lancaster-Eastside Teacher Induction Program (LETIP) provides candidates with high quality mentors for individualized support and assessment.  Mentors support teachers in individually chosen professional development activities that advance classroom teaching practice, coaching, and mentoring.
