Just a couple things that we work on in Math intervention that you could easily reinforce at home. Make them a game in any way you can by grabbing a deck of cards or a couple dice. Vocabulary specific to Math is also something to reinforce at home using homemade flashcards, real life examples at stores, and more.

Third-Fifth graders would benefit from discussing word problems with you and the steps they should follow and why. The more they can talk with you and explain their thinking, the better!
HELLO from Reading Intervention!
The most important thing your child can do is READ! Your child's classroom teacher has already given you links to great websites that offer books online. Take advantage of these and encourage your child to read daily. Try to take time to read with your child. It's important to discuss what they are reading, so ask your child questions about the story to increase comprehension.
Please reach out if you need reading support ideas. We look forward to helping your child with his or her reading needs.

Storynory features a collection of original, fairy tale, and classic children’s audio stories. Students can follow along with the story as it is read to them, as the text is also included on the site. There are also some great features available that give you the option of downloading the audio to your computer, listening to “catch phrase” explanations, translating text into different languages (especially helpful for your ELL students!), and more.
