Hello KWE Family,
I’m honored to serve as the School Counselor at Kline Whitis Elementary—now in my fourth year with this amazing community. With 18 years in education and 11 as a school counselor, I bring a deep passion for supporting students both emotionally and academically.
My journey in education began studying math and physics at Texas State University. as a high school math teacher at my alma mater, Pflugerville High School. After five years in the classroom, I earned my Master’s in School Counseling from Lamar University and transitioned into counseling roles across elementary, secondary, and alternative learning environments. Most recently, I completed the academic requirements at Angelo State University to pursue my goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Helping students learn to manage their emotions, build resilience, and find both personal and academic success is truly my calling. I believe that when children feel safe, heard, and supported, they are empowered to thrive—not only in the classroom but in life. My passion lies in walking alongside students as they navigate challenges, whether they are facing academic pressures, emotional struggles, friendship issues, or family transitions.
At Kline Whitis, I’m fortunate to be part of a school and district that values the whole child and prioritizes mental health and social-emotional learning. My role as a school counselor allows me to support students in a variety of ways: through one-on-one counseling sessions (by referral from staff, parents, or students themselves), small group work focused on specific skills or needs, and regular classroom guidance lessons that teach social-emotional learning, coping strategies, and character development.
Whether I’m helping a student talk through a tough day, guiding a group through conflict resolution, or leading a lesson on kindness or self-regulation, my goal is always the same: to ensure every child knows they are valued, capable, and not alone. I consider it a privilege to be a consistent, trusted support in their lives—and to partner with families and staff in helping each student grow into the best version of themselves.
On a personal note, my family and I are proud members of the Badger community—my son has been a Badger for six years, and my daughter for three. Lampasas isn’t just where I work; it’s a place we call home.
I look forward to another wonderful year of growth, connection, and support here at Kline Whitis Elementary!
Ms. Warren
