GUIDELINES - Tournament
This would be dependent upon the team's player availability of course and how many games are being played each day. A team may utilize the above typical game guidelines by adding 1 to the above guidelines.
GOALKEEPERS
Yes, they are important! This definitely constitutes a position of need sometimes regardless of the age group. The younger age groups we want kids experiencing the position, so if you have good numbers there is no need. U13+ this becomes a position of need and teams needing a keeper will have priority for guest players and is also considered "needs of the Club".
League Games - 1 week notice is preferred, try no later than 3 days, but obviously things happen and come up.
Tournaments - Plenty of notice is required. Looking at more than 1 week notice if possible. Again, things come up and needs can change at the last minute.
3.20.20 Guest Playing on another Team
Team participation shall be done in a manner that is in the best interest of the players. Coaches are expected to cooperate for the improvement of the overall program.
All applicable MYSA rules must be followed.
All players will be expected to compete on their assigned team as their first priority.
Players will not guest play unless their assigned coach agrees.
Coaches are expected to give reasonable advance notice when requesting a player. This request must be made coach-to-coach.
Communication with the player can be handled by consensus of the coaches.
Players guest playing for more than one game require the approval of Director of Coaching.
A single player may not play on another team more than 3 times in a single season to provide fairness and equal play time to all players without prior approval of the Director of Coaching.
Player’s parents or coaches in violations may be suspended for the season and will go before the grievance committee.
