The Welding Academy of South Arkansas, located in Magnolia, AR, is a division of SAU Tech in Camden. The academy is a unique hands-on training program that students complete in 9 months. The program prepares students for a successful career in many different professions of the welding world. Graduates have worked on pipelines, shutdowns, construction sites and at numerous warehouses. Graduates will have work opportunities both locally and/or across the country.

Students can pursue an Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Technology - Welding Process Specialist degree at SAU TECH. National Park College

Registered Apprenticeship Programs

HVAC Technician program is being offered at National Park College. This is a 3 year program that includes 160 classroom hours and 2,000 on-the job-training hours. Classes meet from 6-9pm, 2 nights per week, for a 12 week semester. The cost of the program is $450 per year (billed at $225 per semester). Students may enter the program as a pre-apprentice (ie before being hired by a company) and earn classroom hours while seeking employment as an HVAC apprentice. In order to complete the program, they must be hired as an apprentice to earn on-the-job training hours. To be eligible, individuals must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma/GED, and state ID. If an individual is interested, they should contact program director, Pam Castleberry (501-760-7392, Pam.Castleberry@np.edu). Pam can answer more specific questions about the program and the admissions process for National Park College.
