What is GLOW?

G.L.O.W. stands for Gay, Lesbian, or Whatever and is Lakeside School's Affinity/Alliance group for all things queer  :) GLOW meets every other week during Thursday ACT Period (from 1:05 to 1:55) in Allen-Gates 201. While GLOW is an affinity and alliance group meant for everyone, we also have BUNKER, a meeting on the first Thursday of every month reserved for only those who identify as LGBTQIA+. GLOW's primary goal is to create a sense of safety and community for queer folks and allies in the Lakeside community through having open discussions about current events, pop culture, and the personal experiences of our members. As we begin the 2024-25 school year, our focus is on making our meetings engaging and fun, continuing to work with the administration on improving the Lakeside curriculum for queer people, and celebrating queer joy in the Lakeside community! We really look forward to seeing you all at our many events and meetings to look forward to this year.

GLOW's current student leaders are Nara C., and Lorelei S., Kyle F., Amber P., and Sophie Wic. with Dr. Dounas- Frazier and Mx. Sandusky as our faculty advisors!
