School Counseling

DeAnna Brown - Elementary School Counselor 

Mrs. Brown (she/her/hers) earned her Master's Degree in School Counseling in 2006, after working in counseling, social work, trail-building, and outdoor education for 10 years prior.  She has worked as a School Counselor since 2007, and has worked at Lake Placid Elementary since September of 2014. She loves spending time in nature and going on outdoor adventures with her husband, son, and dog. 

In 2017, Mrs. Brown started working with students outside at LPES. She has since been involved in developing a network of trails for biking and skiing, along with creating spaces for teaching and learning on the LPES property.
