Curates Digital Resources
Leads in the selection, integration, organization, and sharing of digital resources and tools to support transformational teaching and learning and develops the digital curation skills of others.
Empowers Students as Creators
Encourages and facilitates students to become increasingly self-directed as they create digital products of their learning that engage them in critical thinking, collaboration, and authentic real-world problem solving.
Pull curricular materials for classroom teachers.
Collaborate on selection and assignment of eBooks and digital audio to meet learning needs of IN person, remote, and virtual students.
Collaborative planning and team teaching of lessons incorporating research skills into the curriculum.
Teach digital citizenship skills (including copyright, citing sources using Noodle Tools, Creative Commons, etc.)
Participate monthly in PLC meetings to help inform instruction and provide support for students and teachers.
Enhancing lessons to be more future ready and learner friendly, with less direct instruction and adding in formative assessments.
Update annually Library Scope and Sequence - collaboratively with PLC groups.
Integrate information and technology literacy skills into the library curriculum to support the Strategic Plan for Continuous Improvement.
Provide eBook and digital audio assignments for teachers allowing continuous access for students.
Participate and promote use of Sora to access the Overdrive collection. Part of WSDLC.
Provide access information for students and staff.
Subscriptions to a variety of online encyclopedias and databases at all levels, utilizing Google Single Sign On (SSO) to open access from home and school with one login through the library page.
Provide eBook and digital audio assignments for teachers allowing continuous access for students.
Update library pages with new information and resources and library / reading promotions.
Get input from teachers about resources needed to support curriculum.
Collect data annually about circulation and digital resources.
Create and curate an online library of How-To videos of library-related activities.
Incorporate Maker Spaces and Center activities into the library.
Provide MakerSpace activities / challenges during lunch hours (quarterly) to promote use of MakerSpace.
Provide Virtual Librarian support for all.
Encourage students to use maker spaces to create products for their projects in class.
Increase tool availability for the creation of artifacts and content. (purchase microphones, tripods, cameras, etc.)
