AI is only a tool, not the answer.
AI can help us arrive at a solution, but it cannot think like we do.
Do not give AI any personal information about you or anyone you know.
Always check anything you ask AI because it is not 100% reilable.
If you feel as though Googling answers to something is an issue, use the Lightspeed parent portal to pause internet activity on the Chromebook while at home. This will allow you to discuss answers to questions/problems before your student searches the internet.
When your student is working on homework, be sure their phone/device/etc is in another location.
Use both hands when carrying the Chromebook, and make sure the lid is closed.
Do not touch anyone else's Chromebook.
Do not have any food or drink near the device at any time.
Do not share usernames and passowords with other students or friends. Parents ARE ALLOWED to have student usernames and passwords.

Be sure to tell your student to let their teacher know to put in a ticket if they have Chromebook issues at school.
Set a time each night that personal devices are put away.
Have personal devices charging in an area in the house not in your student's sleeping/resting area.
At LES, we protect student and staff data.
This means that we allow view access only to many programs from the parent/family perspective.
This means that you can see things, but only the student can interact/complete work.
The best method to view detailed information and data for your student is to sit with them and have them login to programs on a personal device at home.
