MARKING PERIOD BOOK REPORT
The only required home assignment from me will be the Marking Period Long Book Report. The instructions will be given at the start of each Marking Period & will be posted on Google Classroom. This will require students to read an appropriate length novel at home and/or during their "free time" in class. The completed project may vary by Marking Period, but each will be expected by the end of the marking period (a clear due date will be given).
All weekly work (for the active week) is due at the end of class on Friday, if a student has not completed the work for the week (due to absences, band, or any other reason) they will be given the class period to catch up (with support if asked.)
Graded Work will be sent home on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from the week prior. This ensures students have until Friday of the active week to correct or retake all their old assignments.
If a student is not happy with their work and would like to fix/correct any mistakes I will accpet corrections unti lthe Friday of the active week. (For example if you get back a math test you are not proud of on Tuesday you have until that Friday to correct and hand back in) Any corrected work will be given half credit.
If a student receives less than a C (75% or lower) they will see a yellow PLEASE COMPLETE NOTE, attached to their assignment - this is to signify if corrections aren't made student's might slip into failing scores. If a student does not have a PLEASE COMPLETE note they are still welcome to make corrections for half credit.
