The mission of the School Counseling Program is to help students develop the academic, career, and personal/social skills needed for successful learning and productive citizenship. As part of the School Counseling Curriculum, your child and the other K-12 students will have the opportunity to participate in classroom lessons, career courses and individual meetings that focus on many of the following topics: Social Skills, Academic Success, Personal Safety, Alcohol/Drug Awareness and Prevention, Healthy Relationships, Positive Self-Image/Character Education, Self Management (stress, depression, suicide prevention), Career Exploration, Diversity, Internet/Social Networking Safety and Transitions(to the next level of education).
School Counseling services can be utilized during regular school hours when school is in session AND can be available during the summer as well. Hours will vary during summer school and there is also availability throughout the summer. If summer meetings are desired, you can schedule appointments through Mrs. Crosby at crosnic@lakeholcombe.k12.wi.us or call the office to schedule at 715-595-4241.
