Summer Food Service Program
Stressing the importance of offering nutritious meals to children during the summer months, the Lake Holcombe School District announces the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), which is funded by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, provides nutritious meals to children during the summer, when meals are typically not available. Free meals will be made available to all school aged children 18 years of age and under. Persons over 18 years of age who are determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled and who also participate in a public or private non-profit school program during the regular school year may receive free meals as well.
The free meals this summer will be served at the Lake Holcombe School Cafeteria at 27331 262nd Ave, Holcombe, during the scheduled Summer School Program. Breakfast and lunch are available to children enrolled in summer school as well as those not enrolled in any classes. If you are not enrolled in classes, please call the school to inform us that your child will eat breakfast and/or lunch and we can plan for the correct number of meals.
Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday-Thursday, June 10-June 27 (Monday-Thursday) and July 8- July 25 (Monday-Thursday.) Breakfast will be served from 7:45-8:00 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Again, there is no cost for meals during the summer for any student. If you have questions, please call (715)595-4241.
