Clear information about what their child can do and what they are working toward.
No averaging of early mistakes. Early learning, practice, and struggle are part of the learning process.

A standards-based report card shows progress in each standard rather than a single averaged letter grade.
Each level reflects how well a student understands the grade-level standard, not how many assignments they complete.
In High School, letter grades are converted at the semester to determine the GPA. Visit our High School grading page here to learn more.

What Gets Graded

Body of evidence from tasks, labs, projects, quizzes, performances, and demonstrations.
Evidence linked directly to priority standards and learning targets.
Missing work is communicated as Missing Evidence, not as a zero or penalty.

What Parents Will See

Pacing indicators that will state if a student is Ahead of Pace, On Pace, or Behind Pace in each content area.
Separate reporting for academic skills (standards) and learner behaviors (organization, responsibility, collaboration)—so behavior doesn’t inflate or deflate grades.
No averaging of early mistakes. Early learning, practice, and struggle are part of the learning process.
