Join the fun of creating a Ring of Fire when dusk arrives on July 4th. Safely light a flare near your shoreline and a ring of fire will form around the Lake.

Looking for an different way to join in the fun?
An environmentally sensitive alternative to burning flares is the use of LED flares. These reusable flares don't compromise the modern nod to the long-standing Seneca Nation tradition of the Ring-of-Fire! LED flares are available on Amazon.
Traditional road flares are chemical, or incendiary (burning) flares. These are considered “flammable solids,” as they release dangerous potassium perchlorate and strontium nitrate when burned. These hazardous chemicals can cause adverse health effects, such as injury to eyes, skin, and respiratory system. The light and smoke produced from these toxic flares create additional safety issues. Burning flares are hot enough to melt tires, skin, and clothing.

Lake Bonaparte Conservation Club
Saturday, July 4th at 4:00 pm
(Rain/wind date: Sunday July 5th at 4:00 pm)
Theme: Patriotism
Rules:
Assembly point: The Gazebo. Find the Lake Bonaparte Conservation Club boat displaying the LBCC banner. That boat will lead the parade. Line up behind that boat.
Route: Counterclockwise starting at the Gazebo and progressing toward the Nauti Moose/Marina. The lead boat with the LBCC banner will be the 1st boat in the parade, and lead the fun! Please follow the route entirely around the lake so all the lake residents and their guests have the opportunity to see your winning entry! They want to see you too! Observe standard boating rules and be courteous. Let’s all be safe and have fun.
Judging: There will be 3 judges as well as the official LBCC photographer in the gazebo. Pictures will be taken of each contestant.
Winning Entries:
The winning pictures will be posted ASAP on our website www.lakebonaparteconservation.org and the Lake Bonaparte Conservation Club Facebook page. This year only LBCC will include a special "Best of Parade" award of $250 in honor of our country's 250th Anniversary. In addition, the following awards to be given in both the pontoon boat and non-pontoon boat categories: 1st place = $100; 2nd place = $75; 3rd place = $50. Jet skis are welcome to join the parade, but they will not be considered for prizes.
To claim your prize, identify your photo on our web site/Facebook page and reach out via the contact information that will be provided. Participants please help us to identify you as prize winners!
Upon validation, your names will be posted on the website with your winning entry picture unless you tell us differently.
