Burton Valley Elementary Library ensures that students are effective users of ideas and information, empowering them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in a quickly changing world as well as fostering a love of reading and learning. We are proudly a "loud library" and encourage our learners to be as well.

What's Happening in the Library

We have started our 2019-20 school year out with a bang! We are so excited to share new books, lessons and digital citizenship with our Bobcat Community!

We are so excited that BV is participating in #BeKind21. We have heard there is a request for books about kindness. This topic is hot in kid lit (children's literature) right now. We are working on putting together a big list for you but, in the meantime please take a look at this list created by another fantastic librarian, Shannon McClintock Miller.

Do you ever wonder what happens in the library? Below are some of the highlights from our 2018-19 school year. Wonder how we can help? Look below! We love to collaborate with lesson planning, assist with finding the next great read and even help with some tech.
