2nd Grade Lessons

Hello Wildcat artists! Today we're going to get started on a Valentine's project. Grab your art supplies and get ready to create with me! Watch the video to get started.

I just LOVE snowflakes! This week we're going to read a story about snowflakes and then create a quilt using snowflakes! Watch the video of the book "Snowflake Bentley" first and then follow along with my video to get started! As always if you have any questions please let me know! Happy creating!

Check out the video to the left. We'll read a book that has NO WORDS! Then we'll create a picture based on the book. When you're finished, be sure to send me a picture! I can't wait to see what you create!

This is a really fun project! You'll need to stop in to grab the supplies and then you'll be set to create your very own Candy Corn!

Watch the top video to the right to get introduced to the artist Jasper Johns. You only need to watch it until about 1 min 25 seconds. Check out the next video to get started on our next project. You'll be creating texture on your papers with paint and other supplies found around your house.

After you've followed along with the book, Skin Like Mine, you're ready to start our next project, Skin Tone Rainbows! Rainbows don't HAVE to be just the "usual" colors, they can be all sorts. So we're making ours the different tones of skin. Follow along with the video to create yours! Happy Creating!
